Changing your energy provider could come down to a variety of things, such as
pricing or service issues.
The process of changing your supplier is very
straightforward, but first it helps if you understand which tariff you are on.
Tariffs usually come in two forms:
Fixed-rate – this is
when you have agreed a set price with a supplier for an arranged
period.
Variable-rate – a flexible tariff that, in most
cases, allows you to leave your supplier once a 30-day notice period is
served.

Location – There are 14 different Public Electricity Supplier (PES) areas across the UK, all of which lead to a variety of rates depending on where you are based.
Current prices – The amount of savings available to yourselves depends massively on how much you are currently paying for both your unit rate, and the daily standing charge.
Market fluctuations – The savings on offer all depend on the prices available to us at the time of negotiations, and as these change daily it is very difficult to predict an exact amount of savings.
